KredEx Credit Insurance decided not to recognise a company but a business sector with the export deed of the year title. “Exporting wooden houses manufactured in Estonia has been very successful and it has developed into a fast-growing business sector. In terms of export sales turnover Estonia is the largest manufacturer of wooden houses in Europe. By giving the export deed to wooden house manufacturers we wish to recognise their activity so far and incentivise setting new targets,” said Tambla at the prize giving.
According to the chairman of the board of the Estonian Woodhouse Association Sven Mats the manufacturers of wooden houses value the recognition given very highly. “We are glad that our actions have been noticed and it has been recognised. I believe that there is cause to consider this sector as one of Estonia’s business cards. About 85% of the total sale of Estonian wooden houses is exported and the majority of the companies employ in manufacturing units located regionally across Estonia. In addition to national capital the sector also has significant importance as an employer in rural areas. The recognition given gives power for setting the next targets,” Mats said.
AS KredEx Credit Insurance gives out the export deed of the year since 2014. With the export deed of the year award KredEx Credit Insurance recognises Estonian companies or industries, which retain and grow export volumes and have been successful in finding new markets. AS E-Piim received last year’s export deed of the year title.
KredEx Credit Insurance manages buyer risks related to export and domestic sale and contributes to the expansion of companies to new export markets.
